Tim Velzy

I'm a Detroit-rooted electronic music producer and DJ, recording as Velz. My catalog moves between house, melodic and progressive house, disco, liquid drum and bass and experimental breakbeat — from the driving, memory-soaked house of Fading Echoes and In This Light to the disco grooves of Midnight Discotheque and the machine-loop concept album Fault Line. Under Velz Presents: Virtual Roots I explore AI-assisted reggae, dub and electronic fusion.

I release through musiceps, the Orlando-based label I founded inside Empower Play Studios — my creative studio for web development, design and publishing.

On the software side, I've spent two decades building web applications — including work for teams at Fortune 10 and Fortune 100 companies. I founded Radsolve Solutions, an AI-first development agency, and GigStack, a toolkit for mobile DJs and audio rental companies. I also build products like CSPScan, Freqstack and Audorithm, and community sites for the Detroit house scene.

By day I'm a Senior Development Manager at Global Medical Response, the largest emergency medical services provider in the United States — the company behind AMR and Air Evac Lifeteam.

Music and software are the same craft to me: find the groove, then build the system that keeps it moving.
