Behind the Mix: How Our Artists Craft Their Sound
We go behind the scenes with our roster artists to explore their production workflows, creative constraints, and the techniques that define their unique sound.

Every track on our label goes through a meticulous creative process that blends raw inspiration with technical precision. We sat down with three of our roster artists to pull back the curtain on how they build their signature sounds from scratch.
The consensus? It all starts with texture. Whether it's field recordings captured on a phone at 2 AM, granular synthesis patches built from vocal samples, or vintage hardware run through chains of analog effects — our artists obsess over the sonic palette before a single beat is programmed.
One recurring theme was the importance of limitation. Rather than drowning in plugin options, several artists described intentionally restricting themselves to a handful of tools per project. "When you only have three synths and a sampler, every choice matters," one producer told us.
The mixing stage is where personality truly emerges. From aggressive sidechain compression that makes the bass breathe, to subtle stereo widening techniques that create an immersive soundstage — these are the details that separate a good track from a great one.
Stay tuned for our upcoming video series where we visit artist studios and capture the creative process in real time.
